If you’ve followed me at all in recent years, you know I don’t do book signing events very often. Back at the beginning of my career I used to do a lot of them. Now, with a bunch of published books under my belt I find that I spend more time in my office writing than anything. But I do love talking to people about books–mine and others! So I’m excited about a few upcoming local (to central Kentucky folks) events:

On September 5, 2026 I’ll be at The Kentucky Bookstore in downtown Lawrenceburg, KY from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm with my friend and fellow author Debra Ison. The bookstore is located inside one of the coolest little local shops I’ve ever seen. Tastefully Delicious is located at 126 Main Street. Honestly, it’s worth the trip just to visit that shop!

Then, on September 12, 2026 I’m doing a really cool event. Author, teacher, and editor Paul Stansbury and I will be signing books at Lover’s Leap Winery from 2:00 – 5:00 pm. I’ve never signed at a winery before! Would it be tacky to have a sign, “GET A FREE BOOK (if you buy me a bottle of wine)”? Just kidding…sort of.
If yo
u like small town festivals, you don’t want to miss the Midway Fall Festival on September 19, 2026. I’ll have a table in A Likely Story, the bookstore at 113 Main Street from 1:00 – 3:00 pm. If you’ve enjoyed the books in my “Tales from the Goose Creek B&B” series, you definitely want to attend this event. Goose Creek is modeled after Midway. You’ll walk down Railroad Street, with the tracks separating north- and south-bound traffic, and look up at the water tower standing sentinel over the town. And you’ll be able to buy a copy of the newly released second edition of The Most Famous Illegal Goose Creek Parade.
Looks like September is shaping up to be the month ALL ABOUT BOOK EVENTS! I hope to see you at one.
