A Life Well Lived

On July 10, 2023, I lost my husband. We have been married 32 years. He hasn’t been well for the past few years, and has had several major setbacks since January. Even so, his death was completely unexpected. He fell down a set of stairs in our home and suffered a skull fracture. He did not regain consciousness on this earth.

Ted was an amazing man. He was the strongest, fittest, smartest, most capable person I’ve ever known. He loved adventure and taught me to do the same. He introduced me to so many things I would never have done on my own: scuba diving, snorkeling, snow skiing, motorcycle riding, cruising, jet skiing. Mostly, he taught me what it means to love someone by serving them unselfishly, because that’s what he did for me.

As I’ve gone through pictures to give to the funeral home for his Celebration of Life, I’ve shed more than a few tears. But I’ve also smiled and laughed, and I’ve realized how full our life together has been. Ted’s was a life well lived. There are no words to encompass the depth of my grief, or the immensity of my gratitude for the precious gift of the years we spent together.

I h0pe you enjoy a very few of the pics I’ve unearthed.
